Kissimmee, FL – A Florida man was charged with multiple counts of attempted premeditated murder, after he confessed that he planned to burn several sex offenders to death by lighting a hotel on fire.
Jorge Porto-Sierra, 50, went to the Friendly Village Inn at approximately 5:15 p.m. on March 7, and ran up to one of the guest rooms with a can of gasoline in his hand, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
“You’re going to die, child molester!” Porto-Sierra screamed, according to witnesses.
He then doused the door with the fuel, and broke a window to pour more gasoline inside the room.
Two individuals inside the room were able to escape out a rear window, police said.
Porto-Sierra then jumped into his vehicle, and rammed it into a car that had two people sitting inside.
After he struck the victims’ car three times, he jumped out, and poured more gasoline into their vehicle.
Witnesses said that Porto-Sierra was carrying a cigarette as the incident unfolded.
He was taken into custody by Osceola County deputies, and later confessed that he planned to “barbecue all the child molesters on fire and kill them,” KDVR reported.
“They raped kids…they deserve to die,” he told police, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Investigators then asked Porto-Sierra why he didn’t ignite the gasoline.
“Because you got here too soon,” he replied.
At least three of the individuals Porto-Sierra targeted were, in fact, convicted sex offenders, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
He was subsequently charged with multiple offenses, including false imprisonment, burglary, and attempted murder.
Porto-Sierra was being held at the Osceola County Jail without bond.
