According to Fox News, the rally was held at the Minnesota State Capital. It was part of a national movement for rallies across the country in support of President Trump. Speeches were occurring when the disruption started. The group attempted to disrupt the rally with air horns, whistles, and chants, according to the Duluth News Tribune.
At one point, someone set off a smoke bomb, which struck a woman in the head. The woman, age 61, said that she saw something coming toward her and tried to avoid it. She was not injured and it is not known who threw the smoke bomb.
Security guards and police stepped in as fights broke out, and someone sprayed a chemical irritant into the crowd. The rally resumed as the counter-protesters fled.
After the group ran, a St. Paul Police Officer tried to detain Linwood Kaine. St. Paul Police spokesman Steve Linders said that as the officer confronted Linwood Kaine, “he turned around and squared up to fight with the officer.”
The officer tried to take Kaine down, but failed. The officer then used pepper spray and a good ole kneestrike to take down the crybaby.
Police Officers did not know who Linwood Kaine was at the time of the arrest but they were later told by a local reporter.
Linwood Kaine was charged with one count of felony Suspicion of Second-Degree Riot. He was seen with four other people as fireworks were being set off, and he fled from police. He is being investigated as one of the suspects who lit a firework.
Linwood Kaine is Virginia Senator Tim Kaine’s youngest son.
Tim Kaine was the Vice Presidential running mate of Hillary Clinton, who lost the 2016 Presidential election to Donald Trump.
In a statement, Tim Kaine said that “we love that our three children have their own views and concerns about current political issues” and that “they fully understand the responsibility to express those concerns peacefully.”
St. Paul Police said that neither Tim Kaine or his office had contacted the department.
While it may seem to be no surprise that the privileged son of Hillary Clinton’s Vice-Presidential candidate was part of a group disrupting a pro-Trump rally. Linwood Kaine’s brother took a different route and proudly serves in the Marines.
This is all just part of the extended temper tantrum from those that didn’t get their way in the 2016 election.
