Heroic 6-Year-Old Twins Help Fight Off Mom’s Attacker

Melbourne, FL – Two six-year-old girls fought back against a violent suspect who was attacking their mother inside their home last week, according to police.

The incident occurred at the Manatee Cove Apartments on Caroline Street shortly after 1 p.m. on Sept. 13, WFTV reported.

According to police, the female victim, Misheara Hill, later told investigators that she was inside her home with her twin daughters when she asked her 33-year-old boyfriend, Andrew Williams, to leave because he was intoxicated, WOFL reported.

Williams became enraged at being told to leave and began assaulting her, Hill told investigators.

That’s when Hill’s two six-year-old daughters jumped in to help fend off her attacker, WFTV reported.

Officers said Williams was “unexpectedly surprised” by the counterattack, WKMG reported.

“The little heroes grabbed toys, sticks, and a hair dryer and began to fend off Williams to protect their mother,” police said, according to WOFL. “With the help of the girls, Hill was able to retreat to a bathroom for safety.”

“She took a drumstick and she started whacking him and whacking him,” their mother told the news outlet. “They didn’t stop. It was a frenzy…they was just beating him.”

Hill said she believes her daughters are heroes, WOFL reported.

Police responded to the scene after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance, but Williams managed to flee the area prior to their arrival.

Officers tracked him down a short while later and arrested him on a misdemeanor assault charge, WFTV reported.

Williams allegedly had drugs on him at the time of his arrest, so he was also charged with drug possession, according to WOFL.

He was transferred to the custody of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office after being booked at the Melbourne Police Department.

Williams’ next court date is scheduled for Oct. 7, WKMG reported.
