Hero Down: Ohio State Trooper Alison Holmbren Dies Of Childbirth Complications

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Alison Homgren graduated from the training academy in 2014.

Ashtabula, OH – Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Trooper Alison Holmgren died due to childbirth complications on Feb. 19, according to the patrol retirees’ association.

Trooper Holmgren, 38, passed away following the birth of her second daughter, WKYC reported.

The little girl was born healthy.

Further details regarding the trooper’s sudden passing have not been released, and her family has requested privacy in the wake of their loss, the Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirees’ Association posted to its website.

Trooper Holmgren was a graduate of the OSHP’s 155th Academy Class, the association noted.

The members of the 155th Academy Class graduated on Feb. 14, 2014, according to an OSHP Facebook post.

Trooper Holmgren was assigned to the agency’s Ashtabula Post, the retiree’s association said.
