Hero Down: Mt. Juliet Police Officer Brittany Frazier Found Dead At Home

Mt. Juliet, TN - Mt. Juliet Police Officer Brittany Frazier, age 33, was found dead at her home on Saturday morning, September 9. She was off-duty at the time.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting the investigation, according to the Lebanon Democrat.  Police said that preliminary investigation did not show any foul play.

Officer Frazier had worked for the Mt. Juliet Police Department for about a year, and had served in law enforcement for many years before.

Mt. Juliet Police Chief James Hambrick said “Brittany was a caring and outgoing woman, who was dedicated to serving the Mt. Juliet community, and her presence always brightened any room she walked into. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, and we will ensure they receive whatever support is needed.”

He said, “While our department family is hurting at the loss of Brittany, we are extremely grateful for the support we have received from our community, faith leaders, law enforcement partners and local businesses. She was well loved by all of us.”

In a statement, the Mt. Juliet Fire Department said, “FDMJ personnel always hoped that Officer Frazier would be on-scene with them. She was hard working, serious, full of energy, yet funny and ensured that the police and fire missions got accomplished.  As we mourn the loss of Brittany, let’s try to emulate her best traits and work to be better public servants, better people and better friends and listeners.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mt. Juliet Police Brittany Frazier, both blood and blue.  Godspeed, ma’am, we will take the watch from here.
