Gunman Opens Fire In Omaha Grocery Store, Off-Duty Officers Take Him Down

A gunman was arrested after opening fire in a Hy-Vee Grocery store.

Omaha, NE – A gunman opened fire in a grocery store Tuesday night, but he was quickly taken into custody by two off-duty officers.

The incident happened at the Hy-vee Grocery near 180th Street and Q Street at around 6:30 p.m, according to KETV.

The suspect opened fire near the pharmacy area, but nobody was hit, according to WOWT.

Two off-duty Omaha police officers were in the area and were able to take down the suspect and arrest him.

The suspect suffered injuries during the arrest, but the nature of his injuries have not been released.

Nobody else was injured during the incident.

No information has been released about suspect’s identity or motive at this time.
