Golf Pro, 2 Others Found Murdered On Georgia Golf Course

Kennesaw, GA – Police are searching for leads on the gunman who fatally shot a golf pro on a golf course on Saturday and left two more dead bodies in the pickup truck he was driving.

The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on July 3 on the golf course at the Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Witnesses told police that a pickup truck drove from another neighborhood onto the 18th green of the golf course and got stuck.

Eugene Siller, the club golf pro, went out to the course to find out what was going on and was gunned down by the driver of the pickup truck, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Cobb County Police Officer Shenise Barner said in an email that Siller was found dead on the 10th green with a gunshot wound to the head.

Officer Barner wrote that Siller was pronounced dead at the scene, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Police also found a white Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck parked on the same green.

Officers discovered the bodies of two men in the back of the pickup truck, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Officer Barner said both men in the truck had also suffered gunshot wounds.

She said one of the men in the bed of the pickup was identified by Cobb County police as Paul Pierson, the registered owner of the truck, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Officer Barner said the third gunshot victim has not yet been identified by police.

Pinetree County Club is located on McCollum Parkway near the entrance of Kennesaw State University’s (KSU) main campus, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The country club’s golf course is used by the university’s men’s and women’s golf teams.

KSU sent out an alert to the campus after the shooting that warned and “armed and dangerous” man had been seen in the area, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The alert described the suspect as “6-foot-1 with long hair and was last seen wearing a white or tan shirt and dark-colored work pants.”

The school later posted an all-clear message but authorities have still not identified or captured the gunman, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Siller was married and had a six year old and a seven year old, CNN reported.

He was well-liked and “treated everyone with respect,” according to his friend, Sebastian Schutte.

The Professional Golf Association also treated its condolences.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, CNN reported.
