Florence, SC – A Florence Regional Airport police officer was murdered Sunday morning during a traffic stop at the airport.
The officer initiated a traffic stop on the suspect at around 6 a.m., according to WBTW.
During the stop, the suspect fatally shot the officer. The suspect was subsequently captured while fleeing the area.
Neither the suspect or officer have been publicly identified.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating the murder.
