SandyMaloneNew York, NY – The biggest contributor to anti-police columnist Shaun King’s anti-police political action committee (PAC) is the wife of a Facebook co-founder.
King, a Black Lives Matter activist, recently made the news after he spread a fabricated story of police officer sexually assaulting a woman in his custody.
The bodycam video was then released, which disproved all of his claims.
After falsely naming a trooper as a rapist, King claimed he was the real victim.
He has not apologized to the law enforcement officers who were affected by his grossly inaccurate story.
King’s Real Justice PAC “works to elect reform-minded prosecutors at the county and municipal level who are committed to using the powers of their office to fight structural racism and defend our communities from abuse by state power,” according to its website.
Much like the millions of dollars George Soros has spent to prop up liberal district attorney candidates all over the country, King’s goal is to affect local politics by electing liberal reform candidates in hundreds of districts where he has no actual stake.
“District attorneys are among the most powerful local elected officials in the U.S. These officials have broad discretion to either reinforce or reform structural racism within our criminal justice system,” according to the Real Justice PAC website.
Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings showed that Cari Tuna wrote a check to the Real Justice PAC for $653,480 on Feb. 3, 2017, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
Tuna is the wife of Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, who spent almost $30 million of his own money in 2016 in a failed attempt to defeat now-President Donald Trump, FOX News reported.
Moskovitz left Facebook in 2008 to found team management application Asana. He was the fifth largest individual contributor in the 2016 election cycles, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
Tuna’s generous donation to King’s PAC was the only political contribution she has made this campaign cycle, she wrote numerous of checks to liberal causes in the last election, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
All of the other contributions made to the Real Justice PAC by other people totaled about $400,000.
King’s PAC is using the money from the Facebook co-founder’s wife to pay Facebook for ads attacking police officers.
The PAC is currently running at least 98 Facebook ads in which he makes claims like, “Stephon Clark was murdered in cold blood by Sacramento police — shot twenty times for having a cellphone in his hand in his own backyard,” and whined about being blocked by the DA on Twitter.
King’s new initiative, which is staffed by former Bernie Sanders’ campaign workers, was simply the latest example of liberal billionaires flooding local district attorney races across the country with cash to try and push their own agenda rather than letting communities elect the prosecutors they actually want, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
“No position in America, no single individual has a bigger impact on the criminal justice system—including police brutality, but the whole crisis of mass incarceration in general—than your local district attorney,” King told The Huffington Post when he first launched his PAC.
“If we can activate exciting new candidates who stand for reform, we can make changes from coast to coast,” King said at the time.
The columnist recently posted a picture of himself hanging out with Philadelphia’s notoriously anti-police district attorney, Larry Krasner.
“Got a chance to hang and rap with Philadelphia’s DA – Larry Krasner. He’s the first elected District Attorney that I’ve ever met face to face that I actually trust and respect… Grateful to have him changing the justice system from the inside out. Now let’s elect compassionate reformers all over the country,” King posted on Facebook.
