AndrewBlakeKansas City, Missouri – A 24-year-old man stopped a police investigation and avoided be charged at that time by farting so much that the officer ended the interview.
Sean Sykes Jr. is charged with possession with intent to sell cocaine and being a felon in possession of three firearms, two of which were stolen, according to Kansascity.com.
The charges stem from police traffic stops on Sept. 1 and Nov. 5, according to the news site.
After the Sept. 1 traffic stop, Sykes was brought in for questioning after police found various drugs and two handguns. One of the guns was reported stolen a few days earlier, according to Kansascity.com. While being questioned, Sykes denied knowing about the guns and drugs.
The detective stated in his report that when Sykes was asked about his address, “Mr. Sykes leaned to one side of his chair and released a loud fart before answering with the address. Mr. Sykes continued to be flatulent and I ended the interview.”
Charges were not filed against Sykes after that interview.
However, on Nov. 5 police over Sykes again. Police found marijuana and crack cocaine and a .38-caliber revolver that had been stolen inside the car. Sykes was held in custody pending a hearing to determine if a bond will be set.
On the Kansascity.com’s Facebook page, a Lora Dian asked, “Is that an emission of guilt?”
