Driver Of Truck With Vulgar Anti-Trump Sign Gets Arrested After Outing Herself To Media

The driver of the Texas truck with the nasty sign targeting Trump voters has been arrested.

Richmond, TX – The driver of a truck in Texas with the “F**k Trump” sticker on its rear window has been arrested, according to the Houston Chronicle.

A sheriff in Texas had been looking for the person responsible for driving a truck with a huge “F**k Trump” sign on the back, after receiving numerous phone calls from citizens complaining about the “offensive display.”

The sign reads: “F[Censored] TRUMP AND F[Censored] YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM.”

Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy E. Nehls posted a photo on social media Wednesday of the white GMC Sierra light-duty truck showing the sticker on its back window while it was on road in Fort Bend County in Texas.

In his Facebook post, Sheriff Nehls, sought help in tracking down the owner of the vehicle, saying that a prosecutor informed his office she would accept a “disorderly conduct” charge, according to Newsweek.

“Our Prosecutor has informed us she would accept disorderly conduct charges regarding it, but I feel we could come to an agreement regarding a modification to it,” Sheriff Nehls posted.

In a press conference, Sheriff Nehls said he understood the First Amendment free speech aspect of the sign. But he said the part of the sign that targeted Trump voters was a concern.

“The problem that I see is that when you start targeting an individual, the language after that says and ‘F-U if you voted for him.’ That’s the fine line we have here,” Sheriff Nehls said.

“Anybody travelling down the road and is behind that truck and sees that, that may have voted for Trump, that’s where you could see a breach of the peace, if a confrontation would occur with someone and that owner of that truck, who knows?

“In the world we live in today, with the heavily traveled roads that we have in Fort Bend County, and people have called and are offended by this language. I want to reach out to the owner of the truck,” he said.

Believing the sticker violated no laws, the truck’s owner proudly identified herself to the media.

Karen Fonseca, who used to work for Sheriff Nehls in the Fort Bend County jail, told The Chronicle she and her husband had the sticker specially made after Trump’s inauguration.

“It’s not to cause hate or animosity,” said Fonseca. “It’s just our freedom of speech and we’re exercising it.”

She said the truck belongs to her husband but that she often drives it. She told the Chronicle she didn’t plan to contact the police.

After her press conference, the police contacted her.

The Chronicle reported that Fonseca was arrested on Thursday afternoon on a previously issued outstanding warrant for a fraud charge. Her bail was set at $1,500.

Her incarceration should provide an opportunity for Sheriff Nehls to discuss the offensive sticker with his former employee.
