Houston, TX – Three Houston Police Department officers were shot Thursday afternoon.
The incident started as officers were responding to a disturbance call in the 1500 block of Tralle Street at around 2:40 p.m., according to KTRK.
The suspect fled to the 2100 block of McGowen Street and opened fire on officers. The suspect then carjacked a white Mercedes and fled to an apartment building in the Fifth Ward where he remains barricaded.
Thee officers were each shot one time during the incident. The officers’ injuries are not life threatening, according to KTRK.
It is unknown at this time if the suspect is wounded.
The ATF is responding to assist with the barricaded gunman, according to CNN.

Houston Police Chief Finner says he's not yet sharing any information on the identity of the gunman. He is still barricaded inside a Houston home and not cooperating with police. At this time, it's unknown if he's even alive.
