BREAKING: Texas DPS Trooper Shot

A Texas DPS Trooper was shot Sunday afternoon.

Bexar County, TX – A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper was shot during a pursuit in east Bexar county on Sunday.

The incident started at around 3:20 p.m. by Graytown Road and Interstate 10, according to MySanAntonio.

The trooper was in pursuit of a suspect and the pursuit ended in a gunfight.

Both the trooper and suspect were shot during the gunfight.

The trooper was airlifted to University Hospital.

No further information on the condition of the trooper or suspect has been released at this time.

UPDATE: News4SA reports that the suspect was shot in the stomach and is in custody. The trooper had a tourniquet on his arm before being airlifted.
