BREAKING: Tennessee Deputy Shot, Shots Still Being Fired With Barricaded Suspect

A Sullivan County deputy has been shot.

Sullivan County, TN – A Sullivan County deputy was shot Saturday morning and there is an active standoff if the gunman.

Media reports are calling this an “active shooter,” possibly because shots are still being fired. It’s not believed that the suspect has free access to more victims.

The incident happened near Highway 11W and Highway 394, according to Herald Courier.

Details about what led to the shooting have not been released, but one deputy has been transported to the hospital for gunshot wounds.

The condition of the deputy has not been released.

The suspect is barricaded in a house on Highway 394 and additional shots have been fired, according to WCYB.
