BREAKING: Rescue In-Progress In Florida For Casino Cruise Boat Fire

Pasco County deputies are working with Fire Rescue and the Coast Guard to save 50 passengers.

Port Richey, FL – A casino cruise boat caught fire on Sunday, prompting a massive rescue response for the 50 passengers.

The boat is a Sun Cruz casino boat shuttle and caught fire near Harbor Point Drive near Bay Blvd in Port Richey, according to WFTS.

Pasco County Sheriff’s office says that they are working with Fire Rescue and the Coast Guard to respond to the incident.

The 50 passengers have been able to make it to shore and are being treated. UPDATE: Fifteen people have been hospitalized and one passenger is missing.

The cause of the fire is still not known at this time.

Based on pictures from the sheriff’s office (above,) the boat didn’t survive.
