BREAKING: Reno Police Respond To Confirmed Active Shooter At Montage

Report of an active shooter at the Montage in Reno.

Reno, NV – Reno police are responding to a report of an active shooter at the Montage in Rano.

The incident started at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, according to BNO News.

Officers were called to a shooter at The Montage condominium complex at 255 N Sierra Street in the downtown area.

Local KRNV reporter Benjamin Margiott is reporting that the shooting is still active and reporters on scene are hearing gunshots from a shooter in an elevated position in The Montage.

UPDATE: Shooter appears to be shooting north from 8th floor.

Police have shut down 2nd Ave, 4th Ave, Commercial St, and Virginia Ave according to KOLO8.

Video of the police response was posted to social media which shows multiple blocks being shut down.

No injuries have been confirmed at this time.

UPDATE: Video which picked up gunshots.

UPDATE: The suspect has been contained and negotiators are trying to get him to surrender.

UPDATE: One person has been transported with a gunshot wound according to KTVN and the suspect has been “detained.” It’s not clear if the person being transported is the suspect or if the police gave him the gunshot wound.

UPDATE: Reno PD says no reported injures to citizens or officers, which suggests that the suspect is the one with the bullet hole.
