BREAKING: One Dead, Three Wounded After Shooting On Florida Bus

Fort Lauderdale, FL – One person is dead and at least three more were wounded after a gunman opened fire inside a Broward County Transit bus on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on March 17 in the 1300-block of Broward Boulevard, right in front of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, WSVN reported.

Police said the bus came to a stop in front of the police department, but that no officers were involved in the shooting.

One person was taken into custody by officers when the bus stopped, according to WSVN.

Police said the wounded passengers were transported to Broward Health Medical Center.

Initial reports were that seven people had been shot on the bus, but Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue said that one person had been fatally shot and three others were wounded, WSVN reported.

Two of the victims were said to be “trauma” cases, WFTL reported.

Police said the bus driver hadn’t been hurt during the incident, WSVN reported.
