BREAKING: Multiple Victims Reported At ‘Active Shooter’ Scene In Texas High School

Arlington, TX – Multiple people have been shot by an active shooter at Timberview High School in Arlington on Wednesday morning and the gunman has not yet been apprehended.

The incident began at about 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 6 and there were reports that multiple students and staff members had been shot, KTVT reported.

Law enforcement officials have not yet confirmed that information and the scene remains very active while police search for the shooter.

KDFW reported that police sources confirmed that at least three people were shot and had been transported to the hospital.

The police source told KDFW that so far there had not been any deaths.

Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies and fire department personnel responded quickly to the high school located in the 7000-block of South Watson Road in Arlington.

KTVT reported that SWAT teams have entered the school building.

Officers were methodically searching the school, room by room.

The school was put into lockdown and students remained barricaded in classrooms and other locked spaces while authorities searched the building, KTVT reported.

Parents have been asked to go to the student nutrition center located at 151 Mansfield Webb Road to reunite with their children; however, the school has not yet been evacuated, KXAS reported.

Timberview High School is part of the Mansfield Independent School District, KTVT reported.

Parents of students posted terrifying videos to social media of the scene inside the school that they said had been sent to them by their children before cellular communications from within the school were shut down by the authorities, KTVT reported.

UPDATE: At 11 a.m. local time, authorities announced “all clear” and said there was no longer a threat inside Timberview High School.

KTVT also reported that police had a home in Arlington surrounded and the gunman was allegedly barricaded inside.
