BREAKING: Multiple People Shot In South Florida Beach Town

Hallandale Beach, FL – Police are actively searching for three gunmen after multiple people were shot in Hallandale Beach on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the incident occurred just before 4 p.m. on March 21 in the area of South Dixie Highway, north of the Broward County line, WSVN reported.

Neighbors reported having heard at least four shots fired.

Multiple people were wounded by gunfire, WSVN reported.

Two of the victims reportedly transported themselves to Aventura Hospital for treatment before ambulances arrived on the scene.

Law enforcement officers have set up a perimeter around the area and brought in police K9s to assist in the search for the gunmen, whom witnesses said fled the area on foot, WSVN reported.

Officials have not yet released any details about the medical conditions of the wounded, nor have they confirmed how many people were shot.

Authorities do not yet have a motive for the shooting, nor have they established a connection between the suspect and the victims, WSVN reported.

Police have not released a description of the suspects in the shootings.
