BREAKING: Multiple People Critically Wounded By Gunman, Bomb

Buffalo, MN – Multiple people were wounded by a gunman and explosions at a health clinic in Minnesota on Tuesday morning.

The incident began just before 11 a.m. on Feb. 9 at the Allina Health Clinic in the 700-block of Crossroads Campus Drive, WCCO reported.

A representative from Allina Health confirmed that there was an “active shooter” at the clinic in Buffalo at 11:30 a.m.

Police said that multiple people had been shot and the suspect was in custody, WCCO reported.

Reports heard over the police radio said there were at least five people critically wounded at the incident.

Three people with the most severe injuries were transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

Two more people were transported to Buffalo Hospital.

Thirty minutes after that, a bomb exploded in the family medicine and urgent care clinic at the same facility, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

“We just had a bomb go off in the clinic,” according to the police radio. “They’re evacuating the clinic parking lot, so we’re going to go stage back at the child-care center we originally staged at.”

There were numerous reports of more improvised explosive devices and the scene remained active.

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were on the way to the scene.

Police were also investigating a threat of additional bombs at the Super 8 motel located a mile south of the clinic but there was no information about what the connection was to the hospital incidents, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
