BREAKING: Michigan Police In Standoff With ‘Active Shooter’

Harrison Township, MI – An “active shooter” has been firing at police from a building in Macomb County and police are engaged in a standoff with the gunman.

A post to the Harrison Township Resident’s Group on Facebook just before 1 p.m. on July 4 said that there was “an active shooter (barricaded gunman) situation currently on Clinton street. Southbound Gratiot just north of Cass.”

SWAT officers were on the scene, according to social media reports.

There was no information yet available as to whether any officers were wounded by the gunman.

The incident in Harrison Township was occurring at the same time police in Highland Park, Illinois are searching for a gunman who opened fire at a 4th of July parade and killed five people.
