Indianapolis, IN – An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officer was shot during a gunfight while attempting to serve a warrant on the city’s east side on Wednesday.
The incident happened near Harlan Street and Spann Avenue, at around 1:40 p.m., according to WXIN.
During the warrant service, the suspect opened fire, hitting the officer, who has not been identified.
The officer returned fire, and shot the suspect.
The officer is reported to be in “good condition,” according to IMPD.
It hasn’t been reported how many new holes the suspect now has, or if he survived.
