BREAKING: Indiana State Police Officer Shot In Head

An Indiana State Police officer has been shot in the head.

Jeffersonville, IN – An Indiana State Police officer was shot in the head Tuesday evening near East Park Place and Main Street in Jeffersonville, according to Wave 3 News.

The call intitially came in at around 7:07 p.m. and emergency crews are still responding to the area at the time of this writing.

Initial information is that the officer was involved in a pursuit at the time they were shot in the head.

The condition of the officer has not been released at this time but the officer has been transported to University Hostpial.

The disposition of the suspect has not been released.

UPDATE: He’s conscious and expected to survive.
