Breaking: Indiana Officer Shot

Richmond, IN – A Richmond police officer was shot in the line of duty on Wednesday evening.

The Indiana State Police (ISP) said the incident occurred on Aug. 10 near 12th and C Streets in Richmond, WXIN reported.

Authorities said the suspect involved in the officer-involved shooting was also shot during the incident.

Both the Richmond police officer and the suspect were transported to a nearby hospital, WXIN reported.

Police have not released any information about the identity of the wounded hero.

Officials also haven’t commented on the medical condition of the Richmond police officer, WXIN reported.

Police have confirmed that the officer was on duty when he was shot, WXIN reported.
