Washington, D.C. – Multiple buildings at the U.S. capitol have been evacuated after hundreds of people broke from a pro-Trump rally and tried to storm the Capitol Building.
UPDATE: The Capitol Building has been breached by rioters.
Tens of thousands of people showed up the the Save America rally Wednesday to protest the election results.
Hundreds of people split off from the main group to break past the police line and storm the Capitol Building.
Pepper spray could be seen coming from both the rioters and police line.
As the altercation was in progress, suspicious packages, feared to be explosives, were located in the area, according to KRON4.
Police have evacuated the Library of Congress’ Madison building and Cannon House office building.
