Houston, TX – A Harris County sheriff’s deputy was shot Tuesday night and the gunman is still at large.
UPDATE: The suspect has been captured.
The incident happened at around 5:50 p.m. in the area of Forestburg Drive and Veterans Memorial Drive, according to KPRC.
A deputy was shot by a gunman. The wounded deputy was transported to the hospital while conscious and alert, according to KHOU.
No information has been released about what led up to the shooting.
The deputy has not been identified, but Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia tweeted that the deputy is in stable condition.

The suspect is still at large and a massive manhunt is in progress.
No information has been released at this time about the suspect’s identity or description.
