Talihina, OK – Four troopers have been injured in an explosion, one trooper was shot, and a suspect is dead after an explosion during a gunfight on Friday morning.
KFSM reported that Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and Talihina Police were serving a warrant at a downtown building when they became involved in a gun battle at about 6 a.m. on May 11.
During the gunfight, the building exploded and nearby buildings caught on fire.
KFSM reported that four troopers were injured in the incident.
The suspect is dead, but it’s not clear at this time whether he was shot or caught in the explosion.
The troopers have not been identified and the extent of their injuries was unknown at this time.
Laura Simon with 5 News reported that a fifth trooper was shot in his vest, and the ballistic vest saved his life.
