Detroit, MI – A Detroit police officer was shot by a double-murder suspect Sunday night.
Police responded to Lamont Street at around 10:20 p.m. when the gunman opened fire on officers, hitting one in the knee, according to WDIV.
The unidentified male officer was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The shooter is believed to be a double-murder suspect who killed two women and injured a man. He has barricaded himself in the home.
WDIV reports that police are also dealing with a second shooter on scene who lives next door to the double-murder suspect.
UPDATE: Three officers have now been shot.
