Chicago, IL – A Chicago police officer was shot in the head during a gunfight with robbery suspects Tuesday night.
The incident began when suspects robbed a bank and police began to pursue them.
The pursuit ended in a crash in the 4300-block of Irving Park Road, according to WLS.
The robbers then started shooting at police, and one officer was shot in the temple during the gunfight.
A 15-year-old male and a 20-year-old male were also shot but it has not been confirmed by authorities if they were both suspects. The adult suspect is in grave condition. the condition of the juvenile has not been released.
The condition of the wounded officer has not been released, but the officer was conscious and talking, according to WLS.
