BREAKING: Box Truck Plows Into Pedestrians, Vehicle In San Francisco

First responders are heading to a collision where a box truck plowed into a car and pedestrians.

San Francisco, CA – Seven people are reported injured, with two serious injuries after a box truck hit pedestrians and another vehicle with a family inside.

The incident happened at around 3:45 p.m. at Geary Street and 21st Avenue.

Fire said that one person was trapped under the truck and that one person has life-threatening injuries. The youngest victim is a pre-teen and there are multiple elderly patients.

No information has been released at this time about if this was an intentional act or had another cause.

UPDATE: Driver under arrest – only speaks Cantonese. Still no indication it was an intentional attack.

UPDATE: The driver ran a red light and made an illegal turn. After the crash he tried to flee the scene but was taken into custody by somebody who works for Homeland Security until local police arrived. Police say that the incident it not terrorism related.
