BREAKING: At Least 6 People Hurt – Including Police Officer – At Boise Mall

Boise, ID – Six people including a police officer were hurt during an active shooter incident in a Boise mall on Monday afternoon.

Police said the incident occurred just before 2:15 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the Boise Town Square Mall on North Milwaukee between Franklin and Cole Roads, the Idaho Statesman reported.

Officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired inside the mall.

The Boise Police Department said later on social media that there was one suspect in custody and multiple people were hurt, the Idaho Statesman reported.

“Five people and a Boise Police officer were injured in this event. Police are making notifications to family of those involved and continuing to clear the mall,” Boise police tweeted.

Officials have not released any details on the medical conditions of the victims.

Police have not released the identity of the wounded officer.

Boise police have asked the public to avoid the area, KTVB reported.

The police department tweeted that officers were going store-by-store to clear the mall but didn’t think there were additional threats.

At least one victim was taken from Macy’s and transported to the hospital, the Idaho Statesman reported.

Streets are completely blocked off around the mall.

Part of the shooting incident was captured on video and shared to social media.
