BREAKING: Active Shooter Reported At Washington State Grocery Store

Richland, WA – An active shooter was reported inside a Fred Meyer grocery store in Richland on Monday.

The incident occurred at about 11:15 a.m. on Feb. 7 in the Fred Meyer store located in the 100-block of Wellsian Way, KCPQ reported.

Sources said numerous ambulances have been requested to the scene, KEPR reported.

The extent of injuries at the scene is as yet unknown.

Officials have not yet confirmed that anyone was shot.

But KCPQ has reported that one person was fatally shot and another person was seriously wounded.

The Kennewick Police Department has asked for the public’s help in identifying and location a suspect and the suspect’s car, KCPQ reported.

Police released a surveillance picture of the man believed to be the suspect from inside the Fred Meyer and said that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Richland is located about 200 miles southeast of Seattle, KCPQ reported.

The Richland School District has placed Richland High, River’s Edge High, Carmichael, Marcus Whitman, and Lewis & Clark in lockdown in connection with the incident, KCPQ reported.
