BREAKING: Active Shooter In Wisconsin, Multiple People Shot

Wauwatosa, WI – Multiple people were shot in the Mayfair Mall in what has been called an “active shooter” situation in Wauwatosa on Friday afternoon and the suspect is not yet in custody.

The shooting began at about 3 p.m. on Nov. 20 inside the Mayfair Mall and as of 4 p.m. local time, multiple SWAT teams were searching the mall for the suspect or suspects in the shooting, WTMJ reported.

A police dispatcher described the scene over the radio as “very, very active,” the Associated Press tweeted.

Witnesses said they heard a series of gunshots near the entrance to Macy’s.

“I’m so surprised how I made it out,” one woman who escaped told WTMJ.

Wauwatosa police, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Wauwatosa Police, the Wisconsin State Police, and several other law enforcement agencies have responded to the scene, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

There have been reports that at least three people have been loaded into ambulances and transported to the hospital.

There are countless posts on social media from people who are sheltering-in-place inside the mall.

There were also reports that many more ambulances had been requested at the mall.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office tweeted that they had not been called to respond to Mayfair Mall.

The situation is ongoing and police have asked people to avoid the area.
