Philadelphia, PA – Four high school students were shot as they left Overbrook High School in Philadelphia on Wednesday for early dismissal ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 23 at the intersection of West 60th and Oxford Streets, a block from the high school located in the 5800-block of Lancaster Avenue, WTXF reported.
Police said students were released from school three hours early due to the impending holiday and shots rang out just a few minutes after dismissal.
Two teenage boys and two teenage girls were shot outside of the A&D Minimarket, WTXF reported.
Authorities believe that all four of the wounded juveniles are students at Overbrook High School.

All four gunshot victims were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance, WTXF reported.
Police have not yet released the identities of the wounded teens, nor have they provided any information on their medical conditions.
