Houston, TX – Two Houston Police Department (HPD) officers were shot Tuesday morning.
The shooting occurred in the 2600 block of Hollyhall before 10:00 a.m., according to KSAT.
HPD Chief Art Acevedo confirmed that two officers were struck by gunfire, according to KXAN.
Houston SWAT took the suspect into custody just before 10:30 a.m. The suspect is being transported to the hospital.
No information has been released on the conditions or identities of the officers. UPDATE: Houston PD Sergeant Harold Preston has succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
No further suspect information has been released at this time.
