BREAKING: 2 St. Louis Cops Shot While Trying To Apprehend Homicide Suspect

Ferguson, MO – Two St. Louis police officers were shot Wednesday afternoon while trying to apprehend a suspect in connection with a homicide, according to police.

The St. Louis Police Department (SLPD) said the attack occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. near Northwind Estates Drive and West Florissant Avenue, KMOV reported.

Two officers were trying to apprehend a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred overnight when they came under fire, according to police.

Two officers were shot in the attack.

They were both transported to a local hospital in unknown condition, KMOV reported.

It is unknown if the gunman has been apprehended.
