Rock Island, IL – At least one officer was wounded and another person was killed in an officer-involved shooting Thursday night.
The incident happened in the area of the Chicken Shack at 2961 11th Street just after 6:30 p.m., according to KLJB.
An officer-involved shooting occurred which left one person dead and at least one officer wounded.

No details about the shooting have been officially released at this time.
It has not been confirmed if the dead person is the suspect, how many officers were involved, and how many have been wounded, or what the extent of their injuries are.
Social media rumors quickly spread that police fatally shot a black male and an angry crowd of dozens of people gathered at Unity Point Trinity hospital.
Police were seen guarding the hospital entrance.
