Amber Alert Issued For Toddler Taken By Father Who Murdered 3 People

Police are hunting for 29-year-old Zamien "Caesar" Lamar Crockett Jr. for killing three people and taking the toddler.

Bibb County, GA – An Amber Alert has been issued for a two-year-old whom police said was kidnapped by his father after he murdered three people and wounded one more in Georgia.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal shootings occurred on Tuesday night in the 500-block of Moreland Avenue, WGCL reported.

Officials said police responded to the scene at about 9:30 p.m. on March 31 and found three people dead and another victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

“It was reported that there was an altercation between Zamien Lamar Crockett Jr., 29, and his child’s mother, Jamila Augustine French, 30,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement. “During the altercation Crockett pulled a firearm and shot French’s mother and step-father and sister killing them.”

Crockett, who goes by the nickname “Caesar,” left the scene with two-year-old King Crane Crockett, WGCL reported.

Police said the toddler was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jogging pants with a white stripe on the side, and a black and white hoodie with a blue superman logo on the front.

Crockett is described as six-feet-one-inch tall, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, and driving a black 2007 Pontiac G5 with temporary tag S0325629.

Sheriff’s officials said that Crockett has family in Georgia and Florida but could be headed anywhere with the child, WGCL reported.

Crockett is wanted on murder and kidnapping charges and anyone with information is urged to call 911.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
