Los Angeles, CA – A Los Angeles grand jury indicted adult film star Ron Jeremy on over 30 counts of sexual assault on Wednesday based on allegations made by over 20 women.
Nearly two dozen women claim Jeremy, now 68, sexually assaulted them in the past 25 years, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The oldest alleged assault occurred in 1996, according to an indictment unsealed Wednesday.
The case against Jeremy, which was filed in June of 2020, was presented to a grand jury to bypass a preliminary hearing, during which witnesses would have to testify in open court, the Los Angeles Times reported.
When they charged him with four counts of rape last year, prosecutors alleged the longtime adult film star used his celebrity status to prey upon vulnerable women in Sunset Strip bars.
Additional allegations from more women came pouring in shortly thereafter.
Jeremy now faces a total of 34 criminal offenses based on the accusations of 23 different female victims, the Los Angeles Times reported.
One of the alleged victims was a 15-year-old girl.
The oldest victim was 51, according to CNN.
The grand jury indicted Jeremy on Aug. 19 on six counts of sexual battery by restraint, seven counts of forcible oral copulation, and more than a dozen counts of forcible rape, the Los Angeles Times reported.
He also faces multiple charges involving sexual offenses on women while they were sleeping or with the use of foreign objects, according to the paper.
Jeremy has denied the allegations against him.
“His position is the same (as) when the criminal complaint was filed,” his attorney, Stuart Goldfarb, told CNN. “He is innocent of all charges.”
Jeremy remained incarcerated at the Twin Towers Correction Facility on a $6.6 million bond on Wednesday.
He’s been in jail for more than a year now, Deadline reported.
Jeremy is due back in court for a pretrial conference on Oct. 12, according to CNN.
