82-Year-Old Female Powerlifter Beats Home Invader Until Cops Arrive And Save Him

Willie Murphy said that man who broke into her home wasn't expecting to meet up with an 82-year-old body builder.

Rochester, NY – An 82-year-old woman beat the tar out of a man who broke into her home on Thursday night.

The incident occurred at about 11 p.m. on Nov. 21 as Willie Murphy was getting ready for bed, WHAM reported.

Murphy said a man started banging on her door claiming he was sick and needed an ambulance.

She called the police but didn’t open her door, WHAM reported.

So the man smashed the door open and made his way inside her home.

The intruder probably thought he was invading the home of an elderly woman who wouldn’t fight back, but that wasn’t what he found inside Murphy’s home.

The octogenarian is an award-winning bodybuilder and competitive powerlifter who can deadlift 225 pounds, according to WHAM.

“He picked the wrong house to break into,” Murphy said.

She said she picked up the first thing she could lay her hands on – the coffee table – and used it to hit the home invader, WHAM reported.

“I picked up the table, and I went to work on him,” Murphy bragged. ‘The table broke.”

“And when he’s down, I’m jumping on him,” the elderly woman explained, demonstrating how she took down the much younger, larger man.

“I grabbed the shampoo,” Murphy told WHAM. “Guess what? He’s still on the ground. In his face, all of it, the whole thing.”

“I got the broom,” she explained. “He’s pulling the broom. I’m hitting him with the broom.”

Murphy said she was working on pushing him out of the kitchen and onto her porch when the police arrived, WHAM reported.

The suspect was arrested and then transported to the hospital for treatment of the injuries his victim inflicted.

“The officers that came wanted to go on my front porch and take selfies with me,” Murphy said.
