Peoria, IL – Thirteen people were shot during a fight at a large gathering early Sunday morning.
The incident happened in the area of Water Street and Hamilton Boulevard at around 4:45 a.m., according to Peoria Patch.
Peoria Police Department spokeswoman told Journal Star that “multiple shooters were involved and the shooting is a result of a dispute between groups of people.”
The department did not specify if it was gang-related.
Officers responded to the shooting to find a gathering of 200 people with numerous shooting victims.
The reason for the large gathering has not been released at this time.
Eleven of the victims were transported to the hospital in private vehicles.
All of the victims are expected to survive their injuries.
No information has been released about the suspects at this time.
